UNC Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join their team in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This role involves conducting routine procedures and tests using radiology equipment, preparing for intricate radiographic procedures, and providing patient assessments while ensuring compliance with regulations. The position includes a commitment incentive of $15,000 over a three-year work commitment.

Key responsibilities

  • Conducts routine procedures and tests using radiology equipment to acquire patient diagnostic data.
  • Prepares and assists the radiologist in performing intricate radiographic procedures.
  • Ensures accuracy of patient demographic information and reviews radiographic orders.
  • Utilizes RIS, CIS, PACS, and SMS effectively for documentation and accessing information.
  • Verifies patient identity and assesses patient condition prior to examinations.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment and documents incidents appropriately.

Required skills

  • Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Provider.
  • Knowledge of radiation protection, safety protocols, and infection control.
