Key responsibilities

  • Administers radiation therapy according to physician's instructions and treatment plans
  • Assists in preparing radiation treatment plans with physicians and clinical physicists
  • Maintains patient and billing records, ensuring compliance with department policies
  • Performs routine and complex radiation therapy treatments
  • Prepares equipment and room for patient use, focusing on safety procedures
  • Provides clinical instruction and evaluation for student radiation therapists

Required skills

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiation Therapy Technologist program
  • Radiation Therapy certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Board Eligible
  • Knowledge in healthcare, patient care, and oncology
  • Experience with medical equipment operation and quality assurance procedures
