Overview

The Coast Community College District is seeking part-time faculty for Industrial Technology to provide instruction to a diverse group of adult students. This position offers flexible hours and responsibilities include teaching, maintaining professional standards, and supporting equity in education.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines
  • Teach all scheduled classes
  • Maintain accurate records and professional conduct
  • Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time faculty member
  • Stay current in subject matter areas
  • Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, online, and/or off-campus classes

Required skills

  • Valid California Community College instructor credential or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's degree with two years of professional experience or Associate degree with six years of professional experienc
  • Sensitivity and understanding of diversity in the classroom environment
  • Recent community college or lower division teaching experience (desirable)
  • Expertise in field of course(s) to be taught (desirable)
