Job Description

Overview

Join a well-established pediatric practice in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire as a full-time Pediatric Psychiatrist. This role focuses on delivering integrated behavioral and medical care to children and young adults, working closely with an interdisciplinary care team.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for pediatric patients (ages 0-22)
  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans for children and adolescents with complex psychiatric conditions
  • Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications
  • Provide weekly Collaborative Care Management (CoCM) caseload consultation to behavioral health care managers
  • Offer telephonic and electronic psychiatric consultation to primary care providers regarding treatment planning and patient care
  • Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Flex between outpatient and inpatient settings as needed

Required skills

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Psychiatry
  • Experience with Collaborative Care Management (CoCM) or liaison psychiatry preferred
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
  • Passion for pediatric and adolescent mental health care
