Overview

RIX Industries is seeking a Production Welder I to join their team in Sparks, NV. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform TIG welding and brazing on various gas generation systems and related components while ensuring compliance with customer specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality TIG welding and brazing on compressors and generators
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
  • Maintain compliance with safety policies and use of PPE
  • Set up and operate TIG welding equipment
  • Inspect welds for accuracy and quality
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools in operational condition
  • Assist in controlling manufacturing expenses through proper resource use
  • Monitor material usage and notify supervisors of supply needs
  • Ensure effective communication within the department
  • Participate in cross-training programs and continuous improvement initiatives

Required skills

  • Welding Certification from technical school
  • 1 year of hands-on TIG welding experience
  • Ability to read structural drawings and schematics
  • Ability to pass a respirator fit test
  • Basic computer skills
  • Understanding of air and gas compressors and manufacturing tooling
  • Strong communication skills
  • U.S. Citizenship or qualified U.S. Person
