Overview

The Product Support Representative at Rudd Equipment Company is responsible for promoting parts and service sales within a designated territory. This role acts as a liaison between customers and management, addressing customer issues and enhancing sales through effective communication and support.

Key responsibilities

  • Promote and sell parts and services to customers.
  • Increase sales to customers lacking a strong sales history.
  • Engage with customers at purchase or rental of equipment.
  • Address customer concerns about parts and services with management.
  • Follow up with customers after service repairs for satisfaction.
  • Participate in customer events and exhibitions.
  • Provide customer training on parts manuals and resources.
  • Prepare daily itineraries and sales call reports.
  • Communicate regularly with the branch office.
  • Maintain updated customer files and equipment population lists.
  • Submit leads to the Equipment Department.
  • Travel within the territory for customer engagements and training.

Required skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree or some college preferred.
  • Previous sales experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse personalities.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Computer and data entry skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
