Capital One is looking for a Senior Associate Product Designer to join their Experience Design team in Richmond, Virginia. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in product design to create innovative solutions that enhance customer experiences while supporting business goals. This role emphasizes collaboration, human-centered design, and creative problem-solving within a diverse team environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Leverage product design expertise to elevate design quality and maturity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create design artifacts including journey maps and prototypes
  • Utilize data and research insights for customer-centered design decisions
  • Understand product and partner goals to bridge gaps between customer solutions and business needs
  • Gather feedback to navigate technical limitations and emerging technologies
  • Build relationships with partners to incorporate diverse perspectives
  • Present work effectively to various audiences using a human-centered approach

Required skills

  • At least 2 years of experience in a Product Design role
  • At least 2 years of experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma
  • Experience working with an established design system
  • Experience collaborating with product, tech, and business partners
  • Understanding of heavily regulated, data-heavy problem spaces
