Overview

As a Process Engineer Manager at Capital One, you will lead initiatives aimed at transforming Finance through improved operational efficiency and scalable solutions. You will partner with key stakeholders to reimagine core Finance processes, focusing on streamlining operations, enhancing transparency, and establishing effective governance and controls.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead medium to large-scale, cross-functional process improvement initiatives
  • Conduct end-to-end process evaluations using structured methodologies
  • Utilize Six Sigma methodology and standardization tools to support initiatives
  • Collaborate with Finance, Product, and Tech teams to redesign and implement new processes
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships to align with business goals and regulatory requirements
  • Document processes using relevant tools such as swim lane maps and performance metrics
  • Drive change management and stakeholder engagement for process adoption
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks through proactive controls and governance frameworks
  • Evaluate finance processes from a risk management perspective across various activities
  • Stay informed on financial industry laws and provide consultative guidance

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • 3+ years of experience in process engineering or improvement
  • 3+ years of experience in project management
  • 3+ years of experience in risk management
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Proven ability to lead strategic cross-functional initiatives
  • Expertise in process mapping and documentation
  • Proficient in structured methodologies for sustainable improvements
  • Six Sigma certifications (Green or Black Belt), PMP, Agile preferred
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills
