Lane Enterprises Inc is seeking a Process Engineer to join their team in Wytheville, Virginia. The role involves developing and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure operational efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Key responsibilities
Identify and implement productivity improvement opportunities in manufacturing processes.
Create and manage a Preventative Maintenance program.
Review and enhance existing manufacturing systems with plant teams.
Support new production tooling runs and changeovers.
Train employees on processes and equipment.
Assist in prioritizing equipment needs for capital planning.
Manage key equipment installations in conjunction with management.
Drive continuous improvement programs and best practices.
Lead systematic problem-solving initiatives for manufacturing issues.
Develop standard operating procedures and technical work instructions.
Required skills
Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Chemical, Plastics, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
Experience in Plastics Manufacturing, particularly in Extrusion, Vacuum forming, or Injection Molding.
Understanding of resin production and blending processes.
Proficiency in the application of statistics and Design of Experiments (DOE).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
Experience with equipment installations.
Proficient in MS Office suite.
Experience with plastic manufacturing software preferred.
Attention to detail and strong mathematical aptitude.
Ability to travel as needed to support plant operations.
