Overview

Anderson Dahlen is seeking a Process Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of Food and Beverage equipment and systems critical to manufacturing processes. The role involves collaborating with customers, mentoring engineering talent, and ensuring project timelines and requirements are met while maintaining a focus on food safety and system performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on Food and Beverage systems and processes
  • Lead the design and development of conveying, mixing, and liquid process systems
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent within the organization
  • Collaborate with customers to conceptualize product ideas
  • Support sales and customer discussions for project proposals
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to process control and food safety
  • Deliver product specifications and maintain engineering documentation
  • Provide technical guidance to engineers and project managers
  • Ensure positive customer relationships based on honesty and integrity
  • Up to 20% travel may be required

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Food Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in food and beverage systems engineering
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations (FDA, USDA, HACCP)
  • Familiarity with process control systems and manufacturing equipment
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control
  • Proficiency with 3D modeling software and report writing programs
  • Excellent communication and technical writing abilities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
