Overview

CF Industries is seeking a Process Engineer for their Alvinston, Ontario facility. This role involves ensuring safe and efficient operations in collaboration with various departments, while also focusing on environmental stewardship and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will engage in project identification and implementation to enhance plant safety, efficiency, and reliability.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of respective area(s)
  • Collaborate with departments to improve coordination and execution
  • Identify and implement projects to improve plant safety and reliability
  • Monitor operator training programs and manage revalidation
  • Support and participate in Environment, Health, and Safety initiatives
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures and related materials
  • Respond to plant emergencies and ensure safe operations
  • Provide engineering support for Management of Change documentation
  • Conduct technical evaluations and recommend process improvements
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives

Required skills

  • BS degree in Chemical Engineering with P. Eng designation
  • Minimum 5 years of chemical plant operations experience
  • Understanding of area process operation for safe and efficient operations
  • Knowledge of local, provincial, and Government regulations
  • Commitment to process safety
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to work alternative schedules
