Overview

The Principal Engineer, Verification at Qualcomm is a senior role focused on the design, scaling, and hardening of CI/CD infrastructure and verification systems for the AI Software stack. This technical position involves building automated pipelines and integrating embedded hardware, specifically targeting regression infrastructure for efficient validation at scale.

Key responsibilities

  • Architect and scale distributed CI/CD systems with high throughput and low flakiness.
  • Design automated workflows for building, packaging, deploying, and logging.
  • Develop scheduling and orchestration layers for hardware-based regression tests.
  • Implement monitoring and telemetry for CI stability.
  • Develop embedded target test frameworks and automate hardware provisioning.
  • Own coverage strategy for performance and correctness of hardware tests.
  • Maintain CI/verification pipelines for both internal and open source projects.
  • Influence cross-functional teams with data-driven insights.
  • Produce high-quality documentation for CI architecture and best practices.

Required skills

  • 10+ years in CI/CD engineering, verification, or embedded systems
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools like Buildkite, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions
  • Deep experience with embedded hardware integration
  • Strong scripting in Python, Bash, C/C++
  • Background in firmware flashing and device provisioning
  • Experience maintaining open source verification pipelines
  • Strong debugging across runtime and driver layers
