Job Description

Overview

Solid Biosciences is seeking a Principal Associate Scientist in Analytical Development to lead analytical development, qualification, and support for clinical product manufacturing. The role entails coordinating lab operations and analytical testing as part of preclinical and clinical phases, while also mentoring junior scientists and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for analytical development and operational support for preclinical and clinical products
  • Conduct routine and non-routine analytical testing and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Support the development of new analytical methods
  • Participate in manufacturing activities at CMOs and CTOs related to analytics
  • Maintain documentation of analytical data and laboratory notebooks
  • Act as a subject matter expert for senior management
  • Mentor junior scientists
  • Assist in the technology transfer of analytical methods and protocols

Required skills

  • Master's degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biology, Genetics, or a related field
  • Two years of experience in analytical development or quality control in biotech/pharmaceuticals
  • Experience with molecular and cell-based analytical methods including cell culture, ddPCR, qPCR, and ELISA
  • Experience in a cGMP environment and understanding of regulatory requirements
  • Familiarity with Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) systems
  • Knowledge of compliance and cGMP considerations
