Job Description

Overview

The Principal Associate, Financial Analysis role at Capital One involves working within the Tech Finance Team to manage Technology investments and budgets while leading analysis for financial management. This position requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership as part of the FP&A Central Tech team.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct financial analysis & reporting, including key cost drivers and monthly variances
  • Manage regular reporting processes and suggest actions based on analysis
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and Profit & Loss (P&L) management
  • Develop presentations to communicate analysis results to senior leadership
  • Handle ad-hoc requests and special projects
  • Partner with business leadership to assess financial implications of Tech investments

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis
  • At least 3 years of experience with financial modeling
  • At least 3 years of experience in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities
  • Teamwork skills
