Overview

Georgetown Hill Early School is looking for a passionate and nurturing Preschool Teacher to join their team in Hyattsville, Maryland. The role involves creating a safe and supportive environment for preschool children and fostering their development through strong bonds and effective communication. The school is committed to providing high-quality early childhood education and values the input and growth of its teachers.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide for the needs of preschool children using the P.L.A.N. curriculum
  • Build strong bonds with students to foster trust and support their development
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment where children feel secure and loved
  • Support the physical, socio-emotional, and developmental needs of each child
  • Demonstrate effective communication and positive interpersonal relations
  • Manage classroom dynamics to maintain a consistent and positive learning environment

Required skills

  • 1-3 years of relevant childcare experience
  • MSDE 90hr Preschool or CDA Certification with Preschool Endorsement
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and instructional strategies
  • Knowledge of MSDE regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other technological skills
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit
