Overview

Preferred Podiatry Group is seeking a Podiatric Medicine Physician to join their team in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. This part-time role involves providing compassionate podiatric care to patients in long-term care, nursing homes, and senior living communities, while working alongside facility staff to achieve patient-centered outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide podiatric care to residents in long-term and senior care facilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat foot and lower limb conditions
  • Deliver preventive care for high-risk patients, including diabetic foot management
  • Educate patients and caregivers on mobility and foot health
  • Collaborate with facility staff for patient-centered outcomes
  • Participate in Medicare quality programs to ensure top-tier care
  • Document clinical encounters in NextGen EMR

Required skills

  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree
  • Active state licensure or eligibility to obtain
  • Experience in long-term care/nursing home settings (preferred)
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification (preferred)
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, independent settings
  • Able to lift/carry up to 15 lbs. as needed
