Overview

Preferred Podiatry Group is seeking a Podiatrist to provide compassionate care in long-term care and senior living communities. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating foot and lower limb conditions while collaborating with facility staff to achieve patient-centered outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide podiatric care to residents in long-term and senior care facilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat foot and lower limb conditions
  • Deliver preventive care for high-risk patients, including diabetic foot management
  • Educate patients and caregivers on mobility and foot health
  • Collaborate with facility staff for patient-centered outcomes
  • Participate in Medicare quality programs to ensure top-tier care
  • Document clinical encounters in NextGen EMR

Required skills

  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree
  • Active state licensure or eligibility to obtain
  • Experience in long-term care/nursing home settings (preferred)
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, independent settings
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 15 lbs.
