Overview

The Plant Controller role at CFS offers the chance to take full ownership of plant financial performance within a stable food manufacturing organization. This position emphasizes collaboration with plant operations leadership and provides significant opportunities for career growth and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

  • Own plant month-end close, financial reporting, and variance analysis
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and operational financial planning processes
  • Analyze inventory, costing, labor, and manufacturing variances
  • Partner closely with plant leadership to improve operational and financial performance
  • Develop reporting and financial analysis to support plant decision-making
  • Monitor plant KPIs and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operations
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of plant financial data and controls

Required skills

  • 7+ years of accounting/finance experience
  • 2+ years of Plant Controller experience
  • Strong background in food or CPG manufacturing environments
  • Experience with inventory accounting and manufacturing variance analysis
  • Experience owning budgets and month-end close processes
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills
  • ERP experience
  • Strong communication and operational business partnering abilities
