Job Description

Overview

The H&K Group is seeking an experienced Pit Loader Operator for their Hawley Quarry. The role involves loading, unloading, and maintaining stone products and requires a motivated individual who can operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Conduct pre and post trip inspections of equipment and fill out daily inspection sheets
  • Operate loader to move materials, including lowering, tilting, and dumping loads
  • Load rock trucks during daily production
  • Maintain smooth and safe haul roads
  • Ensure stockpiles are properly maintained
  • Perform routine maintenance on loader and assist in general plant maintenance
  • Provide excellent customer service to all customers on site

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience operating heavy equipment
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE
  • Physical ability to meet job demands
  • 3 years of related experience preferred
  • MSHA or other relevant safety certification preferred
