Job Description

Overview

The H&K Group is seeking an experienced Pit Loader Operator for its Hawley Quarry in Pennsylvania. This role involves loading, unloading, and transporting stone products while adhering to safety policies and providing excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform all work per MSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Conduct pre and post trip inspections of equipment daily
  • Operate the loader to move and dump materials
  • Load rock trucks during daily production
  • Maintain smooth and safe haul roads
  • Ensure proper stockpile maintenance
  • Perform routine maintenance on the loader
  • Carry out general plant maintenance and other assigned duties

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience operating heavy equipment
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to fit test and use appropriate PPE
  • Physical stamina for movement and lifting
