Job Description

Overview

The Harrisburg Division of H&K Group, Inc. is seeking a Pipe Foreperson to oversee construction activities related to highways, pipelines, and other projects. This role involves directing a team, ensuring adherence to safety policies, and effectively communicating project goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform work according to OSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Read blueprints and job-related documents to plan work
  • Record daily events in a job diary
  • Schedule materials, equipment, and work for the pipe crew
  • Develop crew SIPs and submit to site foreperson
  • Track daily quantities and submit to site foreperson
  • Conduct daily huddles with the pipe crew to establish production goals
  • Communicate effectively with crew members and customer representatives
  • Pro-actively train and mentor pipe crew members
  • Perform other duties of crew members as needed

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or one year of related experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and job-related documents
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Mathematical skills including fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Problem solving skills
  • Basic computer skills including internet and email
  • Driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job
