Competitive salary commensurate with experience 100% Company-paid Health Benefits 401(k) Savings and Investment Plan Tuition reimbursement programs available to qualifying employees for approved programs Additional training programs including on the job, online through H&K Academy, manufacturer offered training, and more Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs all work according to OSHA and H&K Safety policies Drive pilings for retaining walls, bulkheads, and foundations of structures Confer with Pile Driving Foreman on job specifications Read and interpret load charts Interpret hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed Perform daily inspections on equipment, clean and perform minor maintenance, report malfunctions Other duties as assigned Qualifications Required Skills, Education, and Experience Related experience and/or training Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered Working knowledge and ability to safety and efficiently understand and direct crane set up and lifting plans Experience and working knowledge of rigging Ability to read blueprints and job-related documents Ability to operate surveying instrument, shoot elevations and straight lines Experience with pile driving and drilling equipment Strong verbal and written communication skills Problem solving Ability to travel as required for projects Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job) Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution 2 years of relevant experience and/or training Experience operating heavy equipment used in highway construction Specific crane and pile-driving equipment experience strongly preferred OSHA or other relevant safety certifications Physical Demands Regularly stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch or crawl Occasionally required to sit Regularly use hands to finger, handle, feel; reach with hands and arms Regularly talk and hear Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus Work Environment Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions Regularly exposed to high, precarious places Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles Noise level is usually moderate The H&K Group, Inc. provides complete heavy civil contracting and construction materials solutions with safety, speed, quality, efficiency, and value.
