Job Description

Overview

Sygnetics, Inc. is seeking a full-time locum Ophthalmology Physician to provide care for veterans at the VA Medical Center in Columbia, SC. This role not only offers a chance to serve an impactful population but also allows one to enjoy the historic beauty of South Carolina.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive clinical Ophthalmology services including oculoplastic and glaucoma specialties
  • Offer consultative services at the bedside for non-ambulatory patients and in the clinic for those able to attend appointments
  • Schedule procedures for completion within 30 days of consultations
  • Participate in rotating call coverage, including weekends and holidays

Required skills

  • Completed residency in Ophthalmology
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology
  • Active, unrestricted Medical License in any state
  • Current DEA certification
  • BLS Certification from American Heart Association
  • Experience in patient care and surgery, particularly for veterans
