Overview

Sygnetics, Inc. is seeking a full-time locum Nephrology Physician to provide services for veterans at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. This role involves offering comprehensive clinical Nephrology care and making a significant impact on veterans' lives while enjoying the surroundings of America's Heartland.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide clinical Nephrology services including evaluation and management of acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, end stage kidney disease, and fluid and electrolyte disorders.
  • Conduct medical evaluation and management of nephrolithiasis and kidney transplant patients.
  • Oversee kidney replacement therapy, including hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
  • Schedule and perform procedures like central and femoral venous dialysis catheter placements and percutaneous kidney biopsies.
  • Provide consultative services at the patient's bedside or in the outpatient clinic.
  • Educate patients on discharge and follow-up instructions coordinated with the next care setting.

Required skills

  • Completed residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Nephrology
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Nephrology
  • Active unrestricted Medical License in any state
  • Current DEA
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association
  • Strong communication skills
