Overview

Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist for their outpatient rehabilitation clinic. The role involves developing personalized care plans for patients with various conditions, including neurological, orthopedic, and geriatric issues, and implementing treatments to enhance mobility and reduce pain.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop individualized plans of care for patients, outlining goals and expected outcomes.
  • Administer manual exercises, massage, and traction to relieve pain and increase strength.
  • Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs for patient recovery.
  • Evaluate treatment effects and adjust plans to maximize benefits.
  • Document patient progress and treatment details in records.
  • Discharge patients when goals are achieved and provide follow-up care referrals.
  • Instruct patients and families on at-home treatment procedures.

Required skills

  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Florida
  • Experience in outpatient physical therapy
  • Knowledge of government regulations for PT practice
  • Familiarity with neurological rehabilitation
  • Optional certifications: NCS, GCS, vestibular, lymphedema
