Overview

The Pharmacy Call Center Agent at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic will handle non-professional phone inquiries and assist patients with information regarding pharmacy services. This role is vital in a healthcare organization dedicated to community health, providing various services across multiple clinics.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle incoming and outgoing phone inquiries
  • Update patient demographic information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Respond to inquiries regarding business hours, delivery services, and prescription status
  • Promote and educate patients on pharmacy services
  • Complete third-party rebilling process, including contacting insurance companies
  • Act as a liaison between staff and supervisors when performing Lead duties
  • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed
  • Perform quality audits as directed
  • Manage scheduling for breaks and overtime

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of experience in pharmacy assistant, call center, or customer service
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish at level 9 required
  • Knowledge of medical billing and terminology preferred
  • Effective communication and customer relations skills
  • Multitasking and attention to detail
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Pharmacy Assistant state registration within 60 days of employment
