Overview

Ben Glass Law is looking for a Personal Injury Attorney to join their litigation team in Fairfax, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have 3-10 years of legal experience and will be responsible for advocating for injured clients through various stages of personal injury cases, from intake to resolution.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle personal injury case files from start to finish
  • Evaluate personal injury claims and provide legal advice
  • Draft, review, and modify legal documents such as motions and pleadings
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant evidence
  • Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and insurance adjusters
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in hearings and trials
  • Document and update case files in the case management system
  • Prepare for trial and conduct pre-trial depositions
  • Perform administrative functions related to legal practice
  • Identify coverage sources

Required skills

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
  • Active Virginia Bar license
  • Strong legal writing and advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage a litigation caseload independently
  • Experience in personal injury litigation
  • Deposition and courtroom experience
  • Experience negotiating settlements with insurance carriers
  • Familiarity with Filevine or similar case management systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Westlaw
