Overview

Ben Glass Law is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney with 3-10 years of legal experience to join their litigation team in Fairfax, Virginia. The role involves advocacy in personal injury cases, managing client interactions, and navigating the demands of court proceedings, making it ideal for those passionate about litigation and client service.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle personal injury case files from start to finish
  • Evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice
  • Draft, review, and modify legal documents including motions and pleadings
  • Research case law and gather relevant evidence for cases
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and medical providers
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
  • Represent clients at hearings, trials, and mediations
  • Document and update case status in the management system
  • Prepare for trial including conducting depositions and drafting motions
  • Perform administrative and management functions related to legal practice

Required skills

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
  • Active Virginia Bar license
  • Strong legal writing and communication skills
  • Experience in managing a litigation caseload
  • Personal injury litigation experience preferred
  • Deposition and courtroom experience
  • Negotiation experience with insurance carriers
  • Familiarity with Filevine or similar case management systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Westlaw
