Overview

The Patient Transporter at Mercy is responsible for safely transporting patients and equipment within the Medical Center. This role emphasizes teamwork and collaboration while ensuring proper safety procedures and body mechanics are utilized.

Key responsibilities

  • Transport patients and equipment to and from various departments
  • Perform patient-related activities as assigned
  • Maintain PAR levels for equipment throughout the Medical Center
  • Track patient's location using Epic software
  • Track equipment movement throughout the facility
  • Work effectively with co-workers in different departments

Required skills

  • Healthcare & Medical experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Patient transport knowledge
  • Proficient in Epic Software
  • Team collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of safety procedures
  • Equipment maintenance skills
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
