Overview

The Paramedic at L.E. Cox Medical Centers will act as the primary director of care in both emergency and non-emergency situations, providing immediate and efficient medical care to patients. Responsibilities include performing assessments, administering basic and advanced life support, and documenting care provided during EMS services.

Key responsibilities

  • Examine, evaluate, and provide quick diagnoses to administer immediate medical care
  • Perform basic medical support tasks such as CPR and ventilation
  • Utilize invasive techniques to stabilize patients' conditions
  • Document all aspects of care provided by EMS services
  • Operate the ambulance under various road conditions to transport patients safely

Required skills

  • Current Missouri licensure as E.M.T.-P
  • For-hire driver's license (Class E or greater)
