Overview

Messerli Kramer is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join their Business Litigation team in Minneapolis. This role involves providing legal support and administration during all phases of the litigation process, including document management, legal research, trial preparation, and client communication.

Key responsibilities

  • Organizing case files, tracking deadlines, and maintaining internal databases
  • Drafting and formatting pleadings, discovery documents, legal memoranda, motions, subpoenas, and contracts
  • Managing document collection, review, and production in e-discovery
  • Liaising with clients for information, assisting with jury selection, and preparing witnesses
  • Organizing exhibits, preparing trial binders, and assisting attorneys in court
  • Conducting research to support legal arguments
  • Working on projects across practice groups to assist with litigation needs

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of paralegal experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • E-Discovery knowledge required, Everlaw software preferred or similar tools
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities while respecting tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to establish professional working relationships
