Overview

The Trial Paralegal at Kanner & Pintaluga plays a crucial role in supporting attorneys on high-value litigation matters, focusing on trial preparation and case management. This position involves organizing trial materials, managing schedules, and assisting with discovery and hearings to ensure a smooth litigation process.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain attorney calendars and manage trial schedules
  • Schedule depositions, mediations, and hearings
  • Manage case documents and litigation records
  • E-file legal documents in state courts
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and hearings
  • Draft court filings and litigation documents
  • Prepare trial notebooks and exhibit lists
  • Coordinate logistics for trial, including technology and support
  • Communicate with clients and opposing counsel professionally
  • Support fact-finding projects and maintain case files

Required skills

  • 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience
  • 3+ years of Personal Injury Litigation experience
  • Understanding of the discovery process
  • Experience with e-filing in state court
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Comfort in document and case management systems
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
