Overview

Adventist Health is seeking an Orthopedics Physician Assistant to join their outpatient team in Lodi, California. The candidate will evaluate, diagnose, and provide comprehensive patient care, following established procedures and collaborating closely with supervising physicians to ensure high-quality health outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Evaluates and treats patients within prescribed parameters
  • Performs physical exams and develops treatment plans
  • Orders and interprets diagnostic tests
  • Records patient histories and updates medical records
  • Makes medical diagnoses and initiates therapy or referrals
  • Assists with hospital admissions and discharges
  • Conducts hospital rounds and maintains patient progress notes
  • Mentors and educates staff members in patient care settings
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Provides guidance and education to patients regarding medical care

Required skills

  • Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Two years of primary care or allied health experience (preferred)
  • CPR or BLS certification (required)
  • Physician Assistant licensure in the state of practice (required)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Clinical evaluation and patient assessment expertise
