Overview

Columbia Healthcare is seeking an Oral Surgeon to join its community health organization in Rolla, Missouri. This role focuses on medically necessary oral surgery services, providing care for a diverse patient population, particularly underserved and Medicaid patients.

Key responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat conditions affecting the mouth, teeth, jaws, and facial structures
  • Examine patients using radiographs and diagnostic tools to determine treatment plans
  • Perform surgical removal of diseased, damaged, and impacted teeth
  • Provide treatment for oral infections, pathology, and trauma-related conditions
  • Administer anesthesia and sedation services as per licensure
  • Educate patients on oral health and treatment options
  • Collaborate with general dentists and healthcare providers for comprehensive care

Required skills

  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
  • Completion of an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program
  • Eligibility for Missouri dental licensure
  • Experience in patient care and interprofessional collaboration
