The Oncology Clinical Dietitian at Mercy is responsible for delivering evidence-based clinical nutrition care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This role involves engaging in performance improvement projects, providing Medical Nutrition Therapy, and training nutrition assistants.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based clinical nutrition care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ensure regulatory compliance
  • Engage in performance improvement projects
  • Serve as a nutrition expert in various forums
  • Assist in training nutrition assistants and food service staff
  • Identify patients at nutrition risk
  • Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy services

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition and dietetics
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential
  • Licensed Dietitian (LD) practice license
  • Provisional license (if applicable)
  • Master's degree in dietetics or related field (preferred)
  • 1 year of healthcare experience in clinical dietetics or healthcare food services (preferred)
