Job Description

Overview

The Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician will provide dedicated inpatient obstetric care in a supportive, team-based environment at AtlantiCare Health System in New Jersey. The role involves managing labor, vaginal deliveries, and cesarean sections, along with postpartum care and responding to obstetric emergencies.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage labor, vaginal deliveries, and cesarean sections
  • Provide immediate postpartum care & obstetric triage evaluations
  • Respond to obstetric emergencies with confidence and clinical expertise
  • Collaborate with midwives, nursing staff, and community OB/GYNs
  • Care for unassigned patients and support community providers
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives & protocol development
  • Educate residents, medical students, and nursing staff

Required skills

  • MD/DO with completion of a 4-year OB/GYN residency
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • Active state license & DEA (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong clinical skills in labor & delivery
  • Excellent communication, teamwork & emergency response capabilities
  • High-risk OB/MFM exposure
