Overview

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a Full Time Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician for the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility in Pearl, Mississippi. The position focuses on providing comprehensive healthcare management, specifically for female patients, within a supportive and ethical work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Obtain medical histories and conduct medical assessments and clinical exams
  • Perform and/or order appropriate diagnostic tests to diagnose disorders
  • Prescribe medications and educate patients about disease prevention
  • Provide antenatal and post-partum medical care during pregnancy and childbirth
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team
  • Follow relevant medical policies and procedures

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school
  • Fully licensed as a doctor of medicine to practice in Mississippi
  • Board certified obstetrician-gynecologist
  • Current Controlled Drug Substance license and DEA license
  • Good clinical knowledge base and familiarity with evidence-based practices
