Overview

Ocean Pulmonary is looking for an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join their healthcare team in Ocean County, NJ. The practice focuses on providing high-quality care for patients with various pulmonary conditions and emphasizes collaboration with physicians and patient education.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients with pulmonary and sleep disorders
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with physicians
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and chest X-rays
  • Manage ongoing care for chronic respiratory diseases, including COPD and asthma
  • Educate patients and their families on disease management and treatment options
  • Provide follow-up care and make necessary referrals to specialists
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations

Required skills

  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN)
  • Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Active NJ state NP license
  • Experience in pulmonary medicine or a related field preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication skills and compassionate bedside manner
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
