Job Description

Overview

Principal Electric, Corp. is a growing electrical contracting company specializing in luxury residential and high-end commercial installations. They are seeking a Non-Working Foreman to oversee field operations and provide leadership to their electrical crews in New Jersey and New York City.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily workforce assignments and ensure adequate manpower is available to meet project schedules
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements with field crews prior to the start of work
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment needs, and site logistics to ensure uninterrupted workflow and prevent project delays
  • Track labor production and provide daily progress updates to project management
  • Identify field conflicts, change conditions, and schedule impacts, and communicate them to project management for resolution
  • Enforce company safety policies and conduct routine safety inspections
  • Coordinate work activities with general contractors, owners, inspectors, utility companies, and other trades as required

Required skills

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the electrical industry
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and safety protocols
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel throughout NYC and surrounding areas
  • OSHA 10 + OSHA 30 Certification
  • New Jersey Electrical License preferred
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks safely
