Job Description

Overview

Lansing Building Products is looking for a non-CDL local box truck driver to support their operations in Asheville, NC. The role involves making deliveries, loading and unloading products, and working in the warehouse, while promoting a mission of respect and excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct pre/post trip truck checks and secure loads properly
  • Transfer products efficiently between Lansing branches
  • Verify quantities and types of material at each stop
  • Load products onto the truck, deliver to appropriate locations, and unload at destinations
  • Prevent damage to products during transit
  • Maintain appropriate transfer paperwork
  • Maximize use of truck capacity without exceeding weight limits

Required skills

  • Valid NCDL driver's license with a clean driving record
  • At least one year of driving experience
  • Forklift operation experience and certification
  • Ability to lift boxes weighing over 80 pounds
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience with building products is helpful
