We're looking for a Motion Designer to join our Product Education team. They'll use their knowledge of Figma, design, and pedagogy to teach our users to successfully adopt Figma into their toolkit Day to day, you'll create guided video tutorials for our YouTube Channel, as well as collaborate with other departments on other types of video content. You'll use your skills in motion and design to artfully explain complex topics in terms understandable by junior and prospective designers, empowering them to create.Our ideal candidate is a passionate educator and collaborator, who is driven by their curiosity to solve problems and learn something new. They're an effective communicator and sweat the details. They should feel comfortable communicating concepts to beginner-level designers and developers in a way that lifts them up and helps them grow.This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States. What you'll do at Figma: Manage end-to-end video production, from inception to deliveryCollaborate with Education Designers and Content Strategists to create concise and clear scripts, and record voice oversIdeate new videos, record audio and video, create visual assets, animate, edit, write descriptions, and publish final videos to YouTubeCreate eye-catching motion graphics explainers, animations, and transitions to enhance and augment screen recordingsWork with our Product and Engineering teams to understand how new and existing features work, and the problems they solve for our usersCollaborate with the Marketing, Brand, Community, and Growth teams to coordinate positioning of our content for new featuresIdentify key success metrics, perform lightweight analytics, and engage with our users in video comments We'd love to hear from you if you have: Experience animating educational content for SaaS products and featuresDemonstrated ability to create clear, concise, approachable, and accessible contentProven ability to identify the optimal way to teach complex concepts or features, with a willingness to abandon ideas that didn't work along the wayTrack record of creative, collaborative brainstorming on new projects and ideasPassion for democratizing design and development, making career paths and opportunities accessible to everyone At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go.
