Overview

Match Education is seeking a Middle School Special Education Teacher to join their team at Match Middle School in Jamaica Plain, MA. This role focuses on providing instruction and support to students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring high academic standards and inclusive practices within an urban charter school setting.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide inclusion support and instruction in regular education classes containing IEP students
  • Manage the school's Special Education programming, including necessary paperwork and compliance requirements
  • Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations for students
  • Participate actively in coaching and professional development programming
  • Assist with school programming during non-instructional time
  • Collaborate with the Match Charter Public School community

Required skills

  • At least two years of full-time experience as a classroom or special education teacher
  • Certification requirements set by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
  • Belief that all students can and will succeed
