Overview

Belton Regional Medical Center is seeking a Medical Technologist ASCP to conduct routine and complex laboratory tests that aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. The role emphasizes delivering accurate results while adhering to quality control protocols within a supportive environment dedicated to patient care.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and complex laboratory tests in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology.
  • Perform chemical, bacteriological, serological, and microscopic procedures.
  • Produce accurate results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, and other designated areas.
  • Maintain quality results through running standards and controls, calibrating equipment, and verifying equipment function.
  • Monitor quality control measures and protocols.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in laboratory science or related field, or equivalent certification.
  • Registry/certification eligibility as a medical technologist.
  • Experience in laboratory testing preferred.
