Overview

LivaNova is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for the Southeast region, focusing on establishing and maintaining relationships with healthcare providers and key opinion leaders. The MSL will play a crucial role in supporting clinical development initiatives and providing insights to enhance product and market development.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain collaborations with key stakeholders in the medical and scientific communities.
  • Understand the regional landscape of specialties involved in patient care.
  • Execute tactical regional plans to support the medical and scientific community.
  • Support clinical development initiatives including investigator-initiated research and clinical studies.
  • Collaborate on Medical Affairs-led initiatives including publications and medical education.
  • Identify and prioritize thought leaders in line with strategic goals.
  • Provide medical information and insights to external stakeholders.
  • Train internal stakeholders on scientific and medical topics.
  • Maintain compliance and effective communication among internal stakeholders.
  • Document MSL action plans and key performance metrics.

Required skills

  • Doctoral-level degree (M.D., Ph.D., PharmD)
  • 3 years of experience in clinical or medical affairs in the medical device industry
  • Clinical or research experience in epilepsy and neuromodulation
  • Ability to establish networks with Key Opinion Leaders
  • Strong initiative and ability to achieve goals
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proactive team player with flexibility to work in ambiguous situations
