Our client, an industry leader in automotive manufacturing, is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer (Wire Harness Design) to join their team. As a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer (Wire Harness Design), you will be part of the engineering department supporting product development and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, proactive problem-solving, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Mechanical/Electrical Engineer (Wire Harness Design) Location:San Antonio, TX Pay Range:$100,000 - $170,000 What's the Job? Design and document new cable and harness designs using Zuken and SolidWorks software, ensuring seamless transition into production. Support manufacturing processes for cable and wire harness production, troubleshooting issues as they arise. Lead new product development initiatives for cables and wire harnesses, guiding teams through our phase gate development process. Conduct design analysis such as FEA and CFD, participate in design reviews, and develop validation test specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to launch new products and support existing ones, ensuring project timelines are met. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field. Proficiency in 3D mechanical design and analysis tools, with experience in Zuken preferred and SolidWorks a plus. Understanding and application of GD&T standards and experience with FEA analysis. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
