Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Summary: Wadsworth Glen Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, a 102-bed skilled nursing facility in Middletown, is seeking a dynamic and experienced RN MDS Director to join our team. As the RN MDS Director, you will play a crucial role in planning, organizing, and directing the MDS process, ensuring that our residents receive high-quality care and services. This is a full-time salaried position with a competitive hourly rate and weekly pay. Up to $45 an hour, depending on experience. Responsibilities:Coordinate MDS process, including assessing resident care plans, completing MDS reports, and transmitting them to CMSOversee ADL training for facility and staffIssue and deliver denial notices timely and appropriatelyComplete and transmit all CMS-approved item sets (MDS)Ensure compliance with facility privacy policies and proceduresMaintain Medicare meeting minutes and issue Medicare denial letters per CMS regulationsAssure appropriate management of residents' Medicare/Insurance benefitsMaintain adequate systems to ensure appropriate documents are sufficient to support billed servicesPerform other duties assigned by managerRequirements:Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing, college or universityMust possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in this stateMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageMust possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such an actionMust possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general publicMust be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term careMust possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnelMust have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residentsBenefits:Competitive and Weekly PayHoliday Pay for Hourly and Salaried EmployeesOvertime Pay for Hourly EmployeesCareer Advancement OpportunitiesExclusive Employer Discount ProgramAvailable for Eligible Team Members:Employer Paid Life Insurance401(k) with Employer MatchVacation and Personal TimeHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceWe are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
