Job Description

Overview

Unified Women's Healthcare is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join their Women's Health Care Center in Raleigh, NC. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-risk obstetric consultations and promote maternal and fetal health throughout pregnancy.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide high-risk obstetric consultations and pre-conception counseling
  • Manage complex pregnancies to promote maternal and fetal health
  • Conduct patient assessments, including medical histories and risk evaluations
  • Interpret diagnostic tests such as lab results and non-stress tests
  • Collaborate with maternal-fetal medicine physicians and other specialists
  • Utilize telehealth services for certain duties
  • Support a growing diabetes program in co-management with OB providers and endocrinologists

Required skills

  • National Nurse Practitioner certification or ability to obtain
  • Active licensure in the State or ability to obtain
  • Current unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain
  • CPR, BLS, and NALS Certification or ability to obtain
  • Proficient in patient assessment and treatment plan development
  • Strong communication skills with patients and team members
  • One year of experience as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Maternal Fetal Medicine
