Overview

The Managing Consultant in Corporate Finance at Berkeley Research Group (BRG) will provide strategic, operational, and financial advice, focusing on turnaround and restructuring services for clients including private equity firms and management teams. The role involves working in a team-oriented environment to deliver insights and solutions to complex financial challenges.

Key responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day activities of client service teams on engagements.
  • Manage junior team members on multiple tasks during consulting engagements.
  • Utilize financial, analytical, and accounting skills for task oversight.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, analyses, presentations, and client deliverables.
  • Participate in the development of BRG's consulting practice, including marketing and client pitches.

Required skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in consulting or professional services.
  • Expertise in financial modeling and analysis, particularly using Excel.
  • Ability to manage and analyze large financial and operational datasets.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
  • CFA, CPA, or technical accounting expertise is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Familiarity with financial research tools like Capital IQ and Bloomberg.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

What the company offers

  • $120,000 to $185,000 yearly salary.
