Overview

Capital One is looking for a Manager of Risks Data & Analytics to lead the Enterprise Payments Governance and Oversight team. This hybrid role focuses on implementing a data-driven payments governance strategy, addressing key payments-related challenges, and enhancing existing practices. The Manager will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to create data reporting frameworks and deliver real-time insights to improve risk management across payment functions.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and implement future payments governance and oversight strategies
  • Develop solutions to remediate payments-related challenges
  • Create and implement data metrics for proactive risk identification
  • Lead the deployment of Generative AI and automated analytics tools
  • Design dynamic dashboards for real-time intelligence and trend analysis
  • Deliver executive-level insights linking complex payment processes
  • Collaborate with data analytics teams to develop comprehensive reporting frameworks
  • Manage and eliminate manual risk monitoring execution

Required skills

  • Experience in risk management, audit, or governance
  • Background in banking or financial services
  • Proficiency in data management and reporting
  • Project management or process management experience
  • Experience with payments and relevant risk frameworks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and influencing abilities
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Workplace Studio, Jira, and Google AppSheets
  • Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) or Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP) certification preferred
