Overview

As a Manager in Data Science on the LLM Customization Team at Capital One, you'll lead efforts to harness large language models and generative AI technologies to innovate and improve customer interactions with their finances. Collaborating with a diverse team of data scientists, engineers, and product managers, you'll work on cutting-edge AI products while driving experimentation and innovation within the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional team to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Experiment and innovate with state-of-the-art AI technologies.
  • Utilize NLP and LLMs to build and fine-tune business-specific applications.
  • Develop NLP models from design through deployment and validation.
  • Translate technical work into tangible business goals for stakeholders.

Required skills

  • Experience with machine learning and natural language processing
  • Proficiency in Python, AWS, Pytorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, and VectorDBs
  • Experience using open-source programming languages for large scale data analysis
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases
  • Ability to deliver models at scale for training and inference
